This is the second Journal for Daily NFTs Minute Podcast. Journal where I briefly summarise projects I talked about on the podcast this week and sometimes I add additional NFTs market-related thoughts.
Towards the end of March we had sideways going market and we were not sure which direction it will choose. Well, last week it chose direction → and started trending down. The good thing is that artists keep producing art, builders keep building and good projects keep delivering. That's what should make communities around the projects happy.
Which projects I talked about this week:
Shinsekai (ep. #43)
Shinsekai is manga/anime inspired project. It has cool looks and doxed team, plus real advisors which worked in NFT space. The mint (at 0.15 ETH) happened recently and was not without issues as you can read on NFT Twitter. But project minted out and has reveal set for mid-April.
Shinsekai is an anime and manga brand that attempts to build the greatest NFT manga community and be a bridge between web2 and web3 manga worlds. To achieve that, they will publish a manga book called Futuros where all characters from Futuros are part of upcoming NFT collection. They will also create a Mangaverse, start a clothing brand, then develop other related products revolving around Shinsekai Corp. They will be providing a way for their members to use their favorite characters as avatars in virtual reality. Art produced till now in sneak peeks is pretty cool.
Joining Shinsekai means you will become part of probably the largest web3 Manga & Anime family. And it's true that the community is already huge: discord with 80k+ people and Twitter with 140k+ followers.
I’m looking forward to watching this develop because the art looks great and I'm a modest fan of manga and anime.

BackpackBuddiez and 6y old artist Eliz (ep. #44)
Backpack Buddiez caught my eyes with cute art focused on kids and has a nice tagline - backpack Buddiez helping each other. It is a collection of 10.000 Buddiez generated from over 300 traits. Founders want to create a strong community to help kids learn and transform their neighborhoods through action.
They also want to build two schools (!) in partnership with BuildON - which is a well-known non-profit that already built over 2.000 schools in rural villages in 8 different developing countries. There are also things like merch, 3D buddiez, IRL events, stories, and more on the roadmap.
A team of eight is doxed and includes a young teacher, a couple of artists, a mod, dev, and project lead. So on the surface it looks well organized, but community-building results don't really confirm that "we know what we're doing" feeling.
The team recently announced a push of the mint date for later. They haven't said the date yet but acknowledged the need for time to build a larger community so they could fulfil their goals.
The price will be 0.03 ETH for pre-sale and 0.033 ETH for public sale.

A special shoutout to Eliz:
Eliz is now 6 years artist doing NFTs probably for over a year now. Why it's cool, well, because I've heard the kid on Spaces to talk about her collection and love for animals and that just makes it so cool and real that it's unbelievable.

NotSoDead NFT and Ukraine_DAO (ep. #45)
First I talk about the colorful NotSoDead NFT; it is a project of an artist Laura inspired by Day of the Dead celebrations in Hispanic cultures.
Great tag lines like Everlasting Beauty, Eternal Bonds, and Living Memories actually fit very well into the atmosphere of the website. There will be a total of 10,000 Not So Dead Catrinas created out of 250+ unique traits.
Mint timing was just recently announced -> May18 pre-sale, May 19 public sale and each artwork will cost - 0.05 ETH (or 0.04 ETH on pre-sale).
As a holder, you'll be eligible to participate in holder-exclusive giveaways like Hoodies and ETH to some lucky holders when the project will reach minting milestones. And of course, later will come more contests and priority in future collections.
For the roadmap, this is one of these projects where you (as a community) will have to figure it out together with the artist after mint-out. Artists are not necessarily the best roadmap writers - nor they should be.

And I'd like to do an honorary mention for Ukraine DAO as a kind reminder that the war is still continuing and people are suffering.
I recommend Ukraine DAO as your source of information and receiver of support for the brave fight which the people of Ukraine are fighting now.
